Note to Self (vol. 1)

Note to self:

  • I feel better in the morning when I refrain from eating or drinking anything after dinner.

  • When I eat dairy products like ice cream (or large amounts of cheese) I wake up the next morning with what feels like a hangover. My sinuses are inflamed, I have a headache and I feel groggy. There may be a bit of pleasure in the short term, but it’s not worth how I feel the next day.

  • Eating refined sugar before bed messes with my sleep cycle. Eating refined sugar is in general a really bad idea, but sugar before bed is a real definite ‘NO’. I eat the sugar, I get sleepy, then I wake up halfway through the night. Usually after having bizarre dreams. Again, there may be pleasure in the short term but this definitely isn’t worth it.
