Do more of what you love.

I think this is a valuable guiding principle to keep in mind as I start each day. It feels achievable. “Do more of what you love.” It doesn’t say “Go through your day upset because you don’t have the perfect life you want right now.” It simply says ‘Do more of the thing that you love to do.’
The key word here is ‘more’. More is believable. More doesn’t mean ‘everything’. It just means ‘more than you did previously’. More can mean 20 percent or it can mean 1 percent. More allows for the ups and downs of life. More allows you to be human and to make mistakes.
I can work to do a little more of what I love each day. I can practice trombone ‘a little more’. That might mean more time, but it could also mean ‘with more focus’ if more time isn’t an option. I can exercise a little more, or work on exercising with better form. I can push myself a little more. I can refine my processes. I can polish. ‘More’ allows for tiny changes compounding exponentially over time.
Sounds like something I’ve heard before.
