They’ve done it again.
I’m currently listening to another impeccably currated playlist of songs on my favorite internet radio station.
If you’re a fan of great music that’s programmed by real people then you have to check out Radio Paradise.
Here’s the last 10 songs that I just listened to:
- Moving in Stereo – The Cars
- Lyat Ninhay – Bombino
- Mind – Talking Heads
- What Do You Want From Me – Pink Floyd
- Chalkdust Torture – Phish
- Summers Cauldron – XTC
- The Other Side – Afro Celt Sound System
- Mon Amour (with Vieux Farka TourĂ©) – The Idan Raichel Project
- Wrecking Ball – Emmylou Harris
- Let It Dive – —And You Will Know Us By the Trail of Dead
It’s a listener supported internet radio station run by Bill & Rebecca Goldsmith. They have a knack for programming an eclectic mix of songs that just work well together. Songs by bands you’ve never heard interspersed with deep cuts from bands you’ve definitely heard of interspersed every now and then with a Miles Davis track or big band jazz track. It’s clear that these folks are music lovers. I can’t tell you the number of times that I’ve looked up after listening for a stretch of time and said to myself ‘Wow, they’ve done it again.’ I can’t tell you the number of times I’ve listened to a song and said ‘Damn, that’s a great song. Who is that artist?’
If you love great music check out Radio Paradise. I think you’ll enjoy it.
