I stepped on the scale today and it said that I weighed 203 lbs.
Ouch.
Before the pandemic the last weight that I have for myself was on December 13, 2019. I weighed 181.5 lbs. That’s 21 and a half pounds in the last 2 years, nine months and 3 weeks.
That’s 21 and a half pounds that I don’t want to carry around anymore.
I could list a bunch of reasons why I put the weight on, but none of that really matters at the moment. What matters is this moment and the me that I am right now. The me that I am right now wants to lose the weight.
Here’s where the strategy part comes in.
I’ve begun to document the process. As the days, weeks, months progress I’m going to be keeping track of what I do to lose the weight. Writing things down. Making video journals. I’ve already reached out to a close friend to be my ‘accountability partner’. Writing these words here is another form of accountability. If I say that I’m losing the weight and I tell the world, then it’ll make it a lot easier to stay on the path.
That’s all for now. I’m going to hit ‘publish’. See you along the way and on the other side.
